Research: Infrastructures and ecologies of the Zebra Fish

Status: Ongoing Working with artist Carolyn Kirschner, Aisle 5 is supporting a research project documenting the wide variety of landscapes, infrastructures and environments that form the natural and man-made ecosystem of the Zebra Fish.

Carolyn’s work inquires into the entanglements between human and non-human worlds.

The Zebra Fish is an animal that has long-interested scientific disciplines for it’s genetic similarity to humans, the sharing of a common ancestor, and its extraordinary physiological resilience.

Working together through 2025, Carolyn + Aisle 5 traveled extensively, filming natural ecosystems, agricultural sites, scientific research facilities and commercial settings in which the Zebra Fish can now be found.
